Juliette Kayyem was the named expert in NPR's "National security expert discusses alleged U.K. bomb plot" on Sept. 28, a dedicated segment on the arrest of five men near an RAF base used by U.S. forces. The segment ran across member stations through the week.

The arrests put base security, aviation screening and transatlantic intelligence sharing back in focus for organizations with European operations. An alleged plot against an allied military installation raises questions about coordination between U.S. and U.K. authorities and the security protocols that protect critical infrastructure.

Kayyem is the Belfer Senior Lecturer in International Security at Harvard Kennedy School, where she is faculty chair of the Homeland Security and Security and Global Health Projects, and CNN's senior national security analyst. She served as President Barack Obama's Assistant Secretary for Intergovernmental Affairs at the Department of Homeland Security and as homeland security advisor to Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick. Her book The Devil Never Sleeps (2022) teaches leaders how to prepare for the crises they cannot prevent and how to fail safer when they arrive.

Juliette Kayyem is exclusively represented by Stellant Group for speaking engagements including keynotes, fireside chats and panel discussions with leadership teams thinking through crisis preparedness, national security threats and organizational resilience.
