About Selina Neri
Selina Neri has spent her career defining, measuring and teaching the capacity she calls Future Readiness. A self-described corporate-academic with C-suite and board-level experience across Fortune 500 and Global 500 companies, high-growth startups and academic institutions in the United States, Europe and Asia, Neri built a framework for developing individuals and cultures that can perform and transform at the same time.
Neri argues that we now live in a NAVI world: nonlinear, accelerated, volatile and interconnected. The professionals who thrive are not those who resolve uncertainty fastest, but those who build the deeper capacity to stay in it and keep growing. "Future Readiness is the learned ability to thrive in this context," she explains. "Thriving means experiencing vitality, learning, high performance, and transformation."

While the future of work is far from clear, with many organizations emphasizing skills in recruiting and developing talent, and professionals investing in building skills to boost employability, we are on the wrong path if people cannot thrive as individuals and professionals. It rests on the lifelong ability and willingness to learn, unlearn and relearn a set of characteristics so that people can propel themselves and their organizations forward. How Future Readiness expresses itself depends on its DNA’s “plasticity”, the ability to find ways of responding to new environments and thrive in new circumstances, so that people can adapt and grow into challenging new responsibilities and problems to solve.

For a company to succeed, many things have to go right. But when something goes wrong and businesses fail, Selina Neri, Ph.D. explains that it’s crucial to understand why and what behaviors may have led up to it. A senior fellow of the Center for Governance of the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, Neri accessibly outlines what corporate governance is and why good governance is vital to success. Through advisory and learning & development work aimed at founders, C-level executives and boards as much as employees and investors, she shows why everyone must have a foundational understanding of governance that enables people to “see” governance around them in everyday business life and behavior. Neri empowers audiences with a clear grasp of corporate governance as “the operating system of a business,” emphasizing the important human behavior aspect. With this new outlook, attendees will be able to activate themselves as “actors of governance” and their companies as “machines that can create value” well into the future.
For companies to attract and retain the best talent while boldly building for the future, it all starts with leadership that embraces Future Readiness for themselves and the people they have the privilege to lead. According to Selina Neri, Ph.D., Professor of Leadership & Governance at Hult Ashridge, the best leaders infuse hope, trust and stability throughout an organization. In this inspiring presentation, she shows that empathetic leaders who focus on their teams over themselves are best equipped to help employees feel a true connection to their workplace. Neri reveals changes needed to the traditional leadership toolkit that will mobilize value across an organization. Empowering the leaders of today and fueling agency in those of tomorrow, she ensures audiences that we all have leadership abilities, it’s just up to us as individuals whether we nurture them or not and how we put them to use.
Technology, geopolitics, longevity and the human search for meaning are changing the employment landscape at a speed never seen before. According to Selina Neri, Ph.D., CEO, Dean and Co-founder of the Future Readiness Academy, the urgency to be prepared for the future of work is greater than ever. In this revealing presentation, she challenges traditional paradigms about talent development and future skills.
